Switzerland Travel Mart, Zermatt Sept 2025

In addition to Fam Trips, where our Tour Operator clients are invited over to Switzerland to experience our amazing portfolio of destinations, hotels, and excursions at first-hand, there are also several events held here in Switzerland to which our network of Tour Operators are also invited. We’ve just returned from this year’s Switzerland Travel Mart (STM) which was held in the world-renowned resort of Zermatt, high up in the Valais region and overlooked by the Matterhorn.

STM takes place every two years and enables Tour Operators from around the world to visit Switzerland whilst also giving them two full days to meet with various suppliers, each representing a particular destination, attraction, or mountain excursion. As suppliers, it enables us to showcase our portfolio to hundreds of Tour Operators with the aim of them incorporating our products and services into their future programs.

Discussions at STM are mostly extremely positive, but even the most positive discussion doesn’t necessarily mean instant success. From the moment a meeting at STM has taken place, it may take up to three years before the first guests arrive. Throughout those next three years, it is our job to ensure that the chances of those guests then coming to Switzerland is maximised, which we do by supporting the Tour Operators as much as possible, both remotely and in person.

Prior to the official meetings themselves, the Tour Operators are also able to sign up to various excursions and experiences that are hosted by some of the local suppliers. This means that the Tour Operators get to sample not only the local destination but also places further afield before assembling in Zermatt. By the time the whole show is over therefore, they have a huge amount of inspiration and information to take away with them, which is then hopefully converted into brand new programs to Switzerland for future years.

For us, intensive follow-up now takes place to ensure that we maximise our return on our own investment in STM, before we turn our attention to the biggest travel trade show of them all; World Travel Market (WTM) London.
