Looking back on 2025 at Swiss Tailor Made
I really don’t know where 2025 went. For Swiss Tailor Made, it was a very successful and action-packed year, which perhaps explains why I felt like it went so quickly. Throughout the year, there was so much going on, a lot of which has contributed to 2026 already looking like a year that will go even faster than the last one. But back to 2025…
As always, the year in Wengen started with the Lauberhorn World Cup ski races. As a spectacle, it is truly sensational and a must-see for anyone remotely interested in winter sports. After the races had been and gone, it was time to take part in our first podcast episode with our friends at Holidays to Switzerland. It was great fun, and the positive impact it had on the audience was amazing, with a significant number of listeners subsequently reaching out to us for help in arranging their holiday. In such instances, we hand them over to our partners, Watch & Cow, who put everything together for them. We took part in another podcast later in the year and have already recorded another one this year.

March took us to Braunwald in Canton Glarus, where the Panorama Hotel was undergoing a complete rebuild. That meeting was the first of several, which resulted in us starting our official collaboration later in the year. I am delighted that we are already scheduling the first groups for the Panorama Hotel Braunwald later this year.
Shortly after, the first of several visits to the UK to visit our network of Tour Operators and Travel Agents took place. The in-person meetings we have with the Tour Operators are always productive. They give us the opportunity to showcase our range of products and services, as well as time to work out how we can incorporate them into new programmes that are in the pipeline for the future. The constant success of these meetings is why we will continue to invest more and more into the UK market for 2026, with our first visits scheduled for the week of 13th April. Such visits continued throughout last summer.

Autumn seemed to come along very quickly, a particular highlight being our first official attendance as Swiss Tailor Made at the Switzerland Travel Mart in Zermatt. This event brings together Tour Operators from around the world for a busy few days, not only attending the event, but also giving them time to explore other parts of the country during the same visit. It was great to be part of the event, and lots of new business for our partners has already come out of it.
World Travel Market in London followed shortly thereafter, and we were delighted to be joined by our partners European Walking Tours and the Park Hotel Winterthur on our stand. It was also a great honour to host some of our Tour Operator partners at Mosimanns in Belgravia for dinner on the Wednesday night, an event which we sincerely hope to repeat again this year.

The year then started to draw to a close. A few days of rest, some skiing, the odd glass or two of wine, and we were ready to go again. 2026 is already shaping up to be our best ever year, and we can’t wait to see you all again at some point on our travels, whether it be here in Switzerland or on our travels abroad.
