A successful Switzerland launch – with the help of Swiss Tailor Made
When Fred. Holidays decided to feature Switzerland as part of its program for the first time, they turned to Swiss Tailor Made for expert support.

The brief
Fred. Holidays had never previously offered Switzerland as a destination. Their Product
Manager was keen to add Swiss products to their portfolio and approached Swiss Tailor Made’s Owner James, who she’d known for some years, to help. She outlined a clear brief, starting with an overall target price point and a list of elements that they wanted to add. This included the planning and delivery of all aspects of the package – contracting of hotels, timings, transport, experiences and most importantly, a locally based host. The host would add a personal touch to the package, meet guests as they arrived by train,
escort them to their accommodation, and remain available throughout their stay.
Our solution
We drew on our extensive local knowledge and portfolio of partners to design a comprehensive seven-night holiday package. The product was designed with Fred. Holidays’ customers in mind, showcasing some ‘must do’ highlights together with lesser-
known experiences. Every hotel and experience was selected because of the quality, comfort and care they deliver, as well as exceptional level of customer service and a responsible tourism ethos.
From itinerary design to on-the-ground support, Swiss Tailor Made managed every aspect of the holiday, except the flights, giving Fred. Holidays complete confidence in the program. The inclusion of a dedicated Local Host added an extra layer of reassurance and service for guests; something that aligned perfectly with Fred. Holidays’ expectations for seamless delivery.

The results
The new package went straight into the next season’s brochure and generated strong sales throughout the season. Crucially, guest feedback was excellent, a key success metric for Fred. Holidays, central to maintaining their brand’s reputation.
